Quality: Turkey Tail mushrooms grow all over the world and are a source of many nutrients including polysaccharides and polysaccharopeptides. Half Hill Farm's Turkey Tail Mushroom Dual Extract processes the fruit bodies of wildcrafted Turkey Tail (Trametes Versicolor) mushrooms through a lengthy hot water (distilled water), vacuum extraction, and alcohol (USDA Certified Organic USP) extraction processes. We use a filtration process that does not remove spore and polysaccharides (this causes a slight visible sediment - shake before use). Our full spectrum dual extract is manufactured and bottled in our FDA registered manufacturing kitchen for our USDA Certified Organic farm in Woodbury, TN and has a shelf life of 1 year.
Liquid extract vs powdered capsules: Powder mushroom capsules available in the U.S. are usually the mycelium of the mushroom grown on grain (usually a rice substrate) and ground into a capsule. Most popular brands are made in this manner. They are the easiest to manufacture, fastest to market, and most profitable to scale.
Liquid extracts are an older, slower method. Dual extracts combine the hot water and alcohol extractions over a month process and remove most of the mushroom's biomass weight for a more bioavailable full spectrum of extractable compounds. Liquid extracts using fully mature mushrooms ensures none of the growing substrate is part of the end product.
Our Turkey Tail Dual Extract comes in two size: 100 ml (3.38 oz. - ten servings) and 200 ml (6.76 oz. 20 servings). Use in tea, coffee or infuse into baked goods, candy or other food products to add Turkey Tail mushrooms to your diet. Turkey Tail has a bitter flavor that dilutes with full servings of food and drink.

A year ago, I had an abnormal pap smear test result & tested positive for the high risk strain HPV 18. I was devastated and very worried. Fortunately, the colposcopy showed no dysplasia but some inflammation. I researched and read the benefits of Turkey Tail Mushroom and found Half Hill Farm. This turkey tail is the real deal. When my 10 1/2 year old Yellow Lab Abigail was diagnosed with lingual hemangiosarcoma in June 2020, I could not believe it. We had just had surgery on my 13 year old Yellow lab boy Eli the month before for anal sac adenocarcinoma. Hearing hemangiosarcoma took my breath away. I immediately got online to find something that may help her. I found turkey tail and immediately ordered the one used in the Penn State Study of 2012. After ultrasounds, chest x rays, and a full blood work up we found out that her tongue was the primary sight and there was no sign of it elsewhere. This is so rare, and for hemangiosarcoma it brings much hope. An amazing surgeon removed part of her tongue and I began to look for a more local source of Turkey Tail. I found Half Hill Farms, and when I saw Dual extract I knew that was the way to go. I figured that not only would she get great absorption, and potency, it would come into contact with the actual sight, which had cancer cells on the margins. Her last checkup was 3 weeks ago, and no one can believe how amazing she looks, and absolutely no sign of cancer. On June 23rd 2021 she will be a year out from surgery and if there is no sign of cancer she will be considered cancer free. I started taking these turkey tail supplements after 2 years of being HPV positive and one abnormal Pap smear (CIN 1). A year later (taking the turkey tail not every day but quite a few), and I got the news my HPV had cleared and my pap smear came back normal. Since my body hadn't been able to clear the HPV on its own, I credit this to the turkey tail. (Some research shows it helps clear HPV). I'm still taking it for anti-cancer health benefits.
